Program note

The intention here is to amplify the vocal presence by replicating it in the electronic part, thus creating a myriad of avatars that no longer allow a clear distinction between what belongs to reality and what to dream. A kind of dialogue in space, but above all in time, where syllables return and repeat almost endlessly, gradually losing their substance amid incessant accelerations and decelerations within a budding interweaving. The result is a maze of phonetic textures whose cornerstone is ultimately the loss of meaning. From then on, the traversed semantic spaces become uncertain, and the scattered, undecided clues are but mirages emerging from a slow metamorphosis.

Pour manipuler les mots (une petite vingtaine), le Français Adrien Trybucki a recours au logiciel de suivi de partition Antescofo. Dans Rapides diaprés pour soprano et électronique, la voix de Marie Soubestre est donc traitée en temps réel et réinjectée dans les haut-parleurs, engendrant une polyphonie flottante où la dimension sémantique s’efface au profit de couleurs et de strates rythmiques qui se superposent.
To manipulate the words (around twenty), French composer Adrien Trybucki uses the score-following software Antescofo. In Rapides diaprés for soprano and electronics, Marie Soubestre’s voice is processed in real time and reinjected into the speakers, generating a floating polyphony where the semantic dimension fades in favor of colors and overlapping rhythmic strata.
